ANTIGONE (ONE), 2026, is part of a series of works based on Antigone by Sophocles. In 2024 I began communicating with The Freedom Theatre in Jenin, Palestine.  Since then, and through careful consideration with TFT’s General Manager, Mustafa Sheta, conditions were outlined under which I would direct actors from TFT in rehearsals for Antigone. Inspired by both Sturdevant and Duchamp’s Relâche, the performance would never actually be presented. Ultimately the work functions as an apparatus directly reallocating any funding for the project to The Freedom Theatre. ANTIGONE (TWO) is a 12 minute single channel video documenting me retrieving the body of a crow killed on State Route 126 and taking their body to an access road for the oil company West Energy Operations, and giving the bird a burial on the grounds. In 2025 West Energy Operations  was involved in an oil spill in the nearby Santa Clara River.
