PATHETIC is a composition consisting of an actor standing on a pedestal while a trained dog barks at the figure on the platform. During the work, a small choir sings a score composed from the last measure of each of Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas, accompanied by a pianist who plays each of the final measures before the choir sings. The piece ends with a solo performance of the score on piano.
